silver foil picture - ezüst fólia kép

i started making this cat out of silver foil some time ago, now it's finaly finished.

i've made an engraved picture again, this time with silver foil.

megint csináltam egy karcképet, ezúttal ezüstfóliából.

holigraphic foil engraving - holigrafikus fólia karcolás

ok, i've made silver, copper, and rainbow foil engravings sofar, and now the holigraphic foil. i must say, i did not trust in this foil at first, because i did not know how the effect will look once i engraved it. but i like the outcome.

yes! i had silver foil, i had copper foil, and now i have rainbow foil. there was just one problem. it seems the glue between the upper and base foil got a bit old, and so air got between them. just know, that if this happens the engraving will frail. so i had a hard time making this one.

some time ago i made a silver foil engraving of seahorses. then i told you that there are more foil variations for engraving art: silver, gold, rainbow, and copper. i've been searching for the ideal gold and the ideal rainbow foils, but did not find them, however i found this nice copper foil:

so what is silver foil engraving? well, it's a picture that you engrave to a black board-like hard paper, that has silver foil under it. when you engrave the lines of your pic, you get a nice silver-like image. this was my first try with engraving and tho it's a bit tiring and takes long to make, i liked it very much. in engraving, there are also 2 more kinds: gold and color pics. so i think i will try those in the future. and here is what i made:
